SANCTUARY OAKS

Central Indiana Land Trust acquired Sanctuary Oaks as a gift from Bernard L. Dix. This beautiful, 14 acre woods is located west of Shelburn in Sullivan County. The forest contains tall oak, maple, tulip poplar, sweet gum, and beech trees, among others. In the spring, the forest floor is widely covered with spring beauty, trillium, and trout lily.

This property does not have a maintained trail. Parking is available along 650N.

Directions to Sanctuary Oaks from US-41 in Shelburn: Head West on State Road 46 (West Polk Street).  At County Road 200 West, turn Left.  Sanctuary Oaks will be on your Left, at the southeast corner of 650 North and 200 West.  Click here for an aerial map of the property.
