Central Indiana Land Trust acquired Sanctuary Oaks as a gift from Bernard L. Dix. This beautiful, 14 acre woods is located west of Shelburn in Sullivan County. The forest
contains tall oak, maple, tulip poplar, sweet gum, and beech trees, among others. In the spring, the forest floor is widely covered with spring beauty,
trillium, and trout lily.
