This preserve is located on the east side of Indianapolis in Marion County, at the corner of 42nd Street and Mitthoeffer Road. This 9 acre floodplain forest is named after its donor, Mr. Gene B. Glick, an Indianapolis businessman. The property provides valuable greenspace for the area's residents, and is home to a variety of wildlife including muskrat, beaver, great blue heron, mallard ducks, and songbirds.
This nature preserve contains a 1/3-mile loop trail through the property with interpretive signage.
Directions to Gene B. Glick Nature Preserve from the east side of Indianapolis: Take I-70 East to the Post Road Exit and head north on Post Road. Turn Right (East) on Post Road and the preserve will be on the North side of the road just before you reach Mitthoeffer Road. Parking is available in a small lot on 42nd street.
